Portholes to Microcosm

This triptych invites viewers to journey across scales of existence, from the cosmic to the microscopic. White on black evokes space and underwater visions, framed as portals like portholes, lenses, microscopes. Inspired by ocean currents, coral reefs, and NASA/NOAA imagery, the works reflect Earth’s biodiversity and humanity’s drive to explore. The minimalist frame, handcrafted in collaboration with Mick Howarth, emphasizes the void and focus of each circular form.

Exhibited in the OK VOID exhibition at DaRaw Nature Art Gallery, Fremantle (Walyalup), Western Australia. 2021

Mixed media - white ink, watercolor, pencil, chalk on black paper.

Frames dimensions (x1) 785 x 1015 mm - (x2) 507.5 x 815 mm
