Rosettes - Ocean poems

Inspired by the Rosette Sampling oceanographic instrument, these capsules are designed to collect and preserve seawater as a tangible memory.

Hand-blown in collaboration with the artisans of the Meisenthal Glass Factory, each capsule features a gradient of glass pigment fading from deep black to transparency. Once filled, the seawater evaporates, leaving delicate salt crystallizations — spontaneous drawings that record the essence of the sea.

Developed through research into the crystallization of salt, these objects blend art, design, and science, revealing the hidden diversity of forms contained in a single drop of seawater. When gathered together, they form a poetic cabinet of curiosities celebrating the memory of the ocean.
