Predator
The infamous Crown Of Thorns Starfish is the number one coral predator. Feeding on coral tissues, they are known for leaving 'scars' on the coral. Several programs aim to regulate their population to monitor reef health, as outbreaks can lead to significant damage. These pictures were taken during the Crown Of Thorns Starfish program, while divers proceed to go control diving 4 times a day : snorkeling and scuba diving to monitor starfish population and collect data about reef health.
